Arrive in Rovaniemi train station in the morning and look for a sign with your name on it to meet your driver and transfer to your hotel. Morning check is depending on availability.

In the afternoon enjoy Lappish Culture and Reindeer Safari

Travel back in time with a reindeer sleigh ride, a traditional Lappish method of transportation! With the reindeers’ steady pace, you can get the most out of the pristine scenery. For photograph enthusiasts, there are many ideal photo opportunities along the ride and while on the reindeer farm.             Begin the trip by encountering living history on the reindeer farm. Reindeer herding is among the oldest professions held by the native people of Lapland and much of their way of life perseveres today. The best way to meet the locals in Lapland is to meet a reindeer—they outnumber the humans! Reindeer have been the staple animal in Lapland for thousands of years, a primary means of transportation, milk, and meat. Reindeer herding began with the nomadic indigenous people of Lapland, the Sami, who lived in reindeer herding communities. Our guests have the chance to meet the reindeer farmers themselves who can regale us with stories of their life and livelihood hand-in-hand with nature. Kids (and grown-ups) will enjoy the chance to feed the reindeer some tasty lichen, their favorite treat. Indoors you can enjoy something hot to drink and Finnish pulla (buns). After meeting and greeting the reindeer we’ll embark on a pleasant sleigh ride through the amazing landscape. We go off the beaten track at a steady pace making the ride suitable and comfortable for all.

On the way back enjoy a visit to Santa Claus Village. You can meet Santa Claus and cross the magical Arctic Circle every day at the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi. There are many souvenir shops as well as Santa’s Main Post Office, programme service companies and cafes and restaurants in the Santa Claus Village. And of course, Santa is there too, in his chamber every day of the year. The Arctic Circle is a circle of latitude that runs 66°33′45.9″ north of the Equator. It marks the southernmost latitude where the sun can stay continuously below or above the horizon for 24 hours – these phenomena are known as the Midnight Sun in the summer and the Polar Night (“Kaamos”) in the winter. In Rovaniemi, the Arctic Circle runs through Santa Claus Village, located eight kilometers north of the city centre, where it is clearly marked. Santa Claus Village in Lapland is a popular place to cross the Arctic Circle: here the line is marked, and you can even get a certificate confirming the feat.
