Day 3) 24 Dec, Husky Farm Visit and Safari

Husky Safari
Pick up time: Morning
A short transfer takes you to the husky farm, where the enthusiastic arctic sled dogs greet
you with barking and jumping - as if they were saying, come on, let's go. Huskies are
passionate about running and that is why they are eager to take off with you in their sledge.
But first things first: instructions on safety and driving. You and a friend are sharing a team
of huskies and can take turns in mushing (driving) and being a passenger.
The route of 14-18 km (depending on weather and snow conditions as well as driving skills)
takes you through an enchanted winter landscape. There will be stops when you can
change places as musher and passenger. You will also have some photogenic moments
midst the stunning nature and with the beautiful dogs. Once they have ran off some
energy, they are calmer and let you enjoy the silent drive.
Back at the farm we will gather around the camp fire to hear the mushers tell about life
with huskies. You will of course also have time to cuddle and pat your newfound friends
before it is time to leave the husky farm. Duration 2 hours

• Safety- and driving instructions.
• 30-45 minute drive with a husky sled (2 adults and max 2 children per sled).

Day 4) 25 Dec, Snowmobile Safari & Santa Claus

Snowmobile Safari
Experience a thrilling, unforgettable trip riding a snowmobile. This is probably the best way
to enjoy the beautiful nature of Lapland that surrounds Rovaniemi.
Enjoying the ride after the briefing, we ride behind our guide on snowy hillsides and in
forests crossing frozen rivers and swamps. See a plenty of nature during this half day trip
into the wilds! You may drive or sit as a passenger as the snowmobiles are equipped with a
passenger seat, too. Speed over rolling fells, carve across the ice of frozen lakes, and sprint
through snow-laden woods as you absorb the chill Arctic air. This safari is suitable for all
people who want to experience the nature and modern snowmobiles.
Our snowmobiles are the newest model of Lynx Adventurer ACE snowmobiles, modern,
silent, ecologic and very easy to drive. Transfers from your hotel to the starting point and
back, all equipment, winter clothes and boots and are included. Warm beverages and
snacks are offered during the safari.

Santa Claus Village
After memorable Snowmobile safari you will be transferred to Santa Claus Village and you
will have all your afternoon there till you meet your driver.
You can meet Santa Claus and cross the magical Arctic Circle every day at the Santa Claus
Village in Rovaniemi. There are many souvenir shops as well as Santa’s Main Post Office,
programme service companies and cafes and restaurants in the Santa Claus Village. And of
course, Santa is there too, in his chamber every day of the year.
The Arctic Circle is a circle of latitude that runs 66°33′45.9″ north of the Equator. It marks
the southernmost latitude where the sun can stay continuously below or above the horizon
for 24 hours – these phenomena are known as the Midnight Sun in the summer and the
Polar Night (“Kaamos”) in the winter.
In Rovaniemi, the Arctic Circle runs through Santa Claus Village, located eight kilometers
north of the city Centre, where it is clearly marked. Santa Claus Village in Lapland is a
popular place to cross the Arctic Circle: here the line is marked, and you can even get a
certificate confirming the feat.
