We will have enough time to see attractions of both cites, picture breaks and time for shopping in old town and local markets.
One of the highlights of the city is Porvoo Cathedral which is an Evangelical Lutheran Church built in the 15th century, with some parts dating back to the 13th century making it one of the oldest churches in Finland.
Your guide will take you a walking tour in old town and to enjoy the charm of beautiful wooden houses, schools and shops. Riverside storage houses which are decorating many travel advertisement brochures and postcards of Finland will offer you to take some great pictures. You will have chance to cross over the river to have picturesque view of all Porvoo from a high hill.
We will pass by small boutiques, antique stores, craft stores, second-hand stores, and souvenir shops offering everything from postcards to Christmas decorations to antiques. No worry! after our walking tour to see historical and tourist attractions in the old town, your guide will provide free time for shopping and wondering around on your own.
We continue our day with some of the most wanted sights such as Senate Square with monuments and national buildings; Lutheran Cathedral, Helsinki University buildings and national bank, Market Square, Esplanade, driving through Mannerheimintie and Church in the Rock are the sights we enjoy in the morning.
Sufficient time will arrange by your local guide to enjoy local food and do shopping in Old Market and Market Square. Our guests can have lunch in any restaurant they like. Finland Local Guide happy to offer fully flexible and customized tours.
